Well, I don't believe it's right from religious matters. But I will try to argue this from a non religious perspective..

A bug is dumb.

Thats it. A bug is dumb. It doesn't think. It just takes in stimuli and reacts with instinct. It can't talk. It doesn't have personality and is foreign to us. A baby, however, is different. It has potential, to be someone and mean something. Does a bug family mourn when one of their own dies? No. No it doesn't. Not the case for humans. We are superior to bugs in every way. A baby isn't simply a nuisance.

k, now for religious part..

the bible says to have dominion over the animals of the earth.. so when I kill that bug, I'm following my religion (=D)   not the case with abortion.

rokkin, having dominion doesn't mean "killing." It means "you're in charge, take care of what I made."

I didn't mean it meant only kill, but it COULD include killing if need be, such as if the bug was annoying you.

That's how you treat the possessions of others?

I'm not religious, but I do have some problems with abortion.
One of my problems is the idea that a fetus can be equated to a parasite, just living off its host (the mother). To me, a fetus is still a human baby, whether or not it's completely formed.

Honor and a penis.

But the thing is, its not like they have emotions, or a personality, or even a soul, its just a bug, we don't have to feel remorse for killing a bug, a human is just the opposite however

because its a bug, its brain is comparable to a spec of sand, there is no way it could cope with any sort of emotion or personality.

How do you know that? Have you ever been a bug? Have you ever tested them to see if they could feel happiness or sadness or frustration or joy?

No but I know that the amount of your brain it takes to feel stuff like that is larger than the bug itself..

How do you know that it's not a percentage of your brain rather than a physical amount of brain?

well if its percentage and not amout (which isn't the case)then you have to assume its to scale. which would give them virtually no brain to work with.

According to you; however, you can't know exactly what impact killing a bug that annoys you has. It may be that said bug is more important in God's eyes than you are, and then what?
