Hello, my name is Bree and I am almost 200 pounds at the age of 16. I have been 'chubby' all my life, but the last time I got on the scale, I nearly passed out. My mom recently wrote me a letter that read: "There is another issue that MANY people are bringing to my attention (my friends and yours.....) people keep asking me why you have been putting on so much weight. Of course they ask if it is because you work at McD's, but I know that that is only part of it. I KNOW this is a sore subject to you Bree, but not liking the subject is not going to make it go away... I know that this is going to sound harsh, but the word that is being used is "FAT". Bree, you need o address this in your life. You are way too young to be allowing this to happen to you. You can ignore it, but it isn't going to make it go away. You need to do something about it. I remember when you were younger and you used to make fun of Linda G for being fat. You are there. I don't understand why you don't see it. You wear clothes way too small for your body size and those bikini's.... well, you're not helping to make your body size less noticeable. I've tried not to say anything, but people who see you and then see me have convinced me that I have to tell you flat out truth and stop trying to dance around the subject. You need to lose weight." This is a sore subject for me, because I have my boyfriend, as well as my friends telling me, "Oh Bree, you're fine." I do have a pretty face. But when I look at the rest of me, I can't help but cry. My mom brought up this point in a letter, and my eyes filled up with tears and I threw the letter. I do work at McDonalds, and I can't blame it on that, but the recent gain of 15 pounds is probably attributed to that. I need help. Real help. Not just, "Go excercize." or "Eat healthier." I need down to earth, almost first hand experience. It's not going to be easy, but I need someone there for me to push me along; someone who can help. I want to be at about 130 pounds, then maybe I can feel comfortable in my own skin. Please help me. If you want, email me at takemeoverx3@comcast.net. Thank you. Bree.

Well, take it from me, don't go about this the wrong way. I was overweight as a kid, and lost way too much weight by just not eating in junior high. It sucked. I had no energy, and lost all of my muscle. I know this is hard, and though it's not an excuse, you can probably attribute part of your weight to muscle and body type. Remember that, and find exercises that you enjoy to build on that. Or, if you want to go about it in a more sure, structured manner, join your school's JROTC or ROTC. I recommend that because it will provide you with both the motivation and the support you need to accomplish you goal, while teaching you valuable skills that just working out at the gym won't. Oh, and you get class credit for JROTC, and money and tuition for ROTC. = ) Think about it. If you have any questions about anything, but especially ROTC, my email is k_fleming_09@yahoo.com Otherwise, Good Luck!

I was looking at your myspace, and you know, I don't think you need to loose very much weight. That means a lot coming from me, because making fun of fat people is my favorite hobby, and I'm 137 lbs and 6'2".
